plusPOL - for HIV positive under 30 / diversity München

What we do

plusPOL is a group for young people living with HIV up to 30 years old. Whether you're lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, or heterosexual, regardless of your gender or sexuality, you are warmly welcome. We are a youth and leisure group, meaning our focus is on offering joint recreational activities. The group meetings take place regularly in an anonymous and closed setting at our youth center. If we organize activities outside, these will, of course, be announced in advance.

Safer Space – No Fear of Coming Out

To ensure you can participate in our meetings without worry or fear of being outed, we have taken several measures:

We have exclusive use of the youth center. The entire team is briefed not to perform any work during a plusPOL event, and no team member will come in for something like a “quick bathroom break.”
Our plusPOL team is discreet, so no data or information (except for the number of visitors) will be shared. We are bound by a self-imposed confidentiality agreement.
All other attendees are also HIV-positive, so there’s no need to worry about that!

Your First Visit

To make sure you don’t feel thrown into the deep end, feel free to write to us and/or arrive a quarter of an hour earlier. We’ll definitely help you get started with the group.

If you're unsure about coming, we’re happy to meet with you outside the youth center.
plusPOL is not a self-help group, but we’re always available to listen to your questions. If we can’t help you sufficiently, we’ll refer you to our social workers or other contact points.
We are open to everyone: LGBTIAQ* stands for lesbian, gay, bi, trans*, intersex, asexual, and queer, encompassing the major groups in our community. The asterisk at the end provides space for anyone who doesn’t identify with any of these groups or rejects a fixed definition of themselves. You are definitely welcome here!
