Team
All groups at the diversity youth centre are led by young volunteers under the age of 27 using a peer-to-peer approach.
We are young trans* people who enjoy spending our free time organising activities for other young trans* people – we used to be frients visitors ourselves, and now we want to give something back. But we also just really enjoy working at the youth centre!
Emil (he)
Has been a group leader at frients since 2018 and is also enthusiastic about plants, 80s music and crossword puzzles. Contrary to what his pensioner-like hobbies might suggest, he was only born in 1998.
Manu (he/neutral)
Has been active with frients since 2019. He works in film, enjoys dancing and drawing, and is always up for a coffee. You can recognise him by his black clothes and either his grim stare or his overly loud laugh. He is exactly two days younger than Emil, so he was also born in 1998.
Oskar (he)
Also with frients since 2019 and in Munich since 2018. An artist at heart, when he's not at the youth centre, he can usually be found at the piano. He also sometimes works in film, enjoys going out and doing what people do. He was born in 2002 and has experienced a lot since then.
Timea/Ti (she/they)
Aspiring astrophysicist and part of frients since 2022. Ti always has a clear overview and often brings structure to the T(i)eam. Alongside Manu and Emil, she is the third member of the 1998 trio. Apart from diversity, she likes to spend her free time reading books (science fiction), playing various TTRPGs such as DnD, playing video games and playing the piano.
Felix (he/they)
Felix joined us at the end of 2023. He studies psychology and, at 22, is no longer the youngest member of the team.
Mikaél (he)
Has been active with frients since 2022. He can usually be found selling drinks or playing cards. He is an aspiring artist and is passionate about music, films and TV series. When it comes to these topics, he can talk to others about them for hours. Outside of Diversty, Mikaél is training to become a wood sculptor.
Louisa/Lou (she/they)
She has been involved with frients since early 2024 and loves cooking in a group. Otherwise, they enjoy climbing and are always up for a board game. As a budding computer science teacher, she likes to think in a structured way, but always remains open to creative detours.
Anna (she)
Has been active with frients since mid-2024. She enjoys meeting new people and playing board games. She has also discovered games such as Magic the Gathering. She is also active with diversity@school, where she does educational work. Outside of diversity, Anna works at a youth centre to gain experience in the field of social pedagogy.
Theo (er)
Has been involved since mid-2024. In addition to frients, he is involved in a climbing club and enjoys being outdoors, whether camping, cycling or hiking.
Jeanne (all pronouns)
Joined us at the turn of 2025 and can usually be found in the busiest rooms. Jeanne is genderfluid, so feel free to ask what their pronouns are for the day if you're unsure. They/them is always safe. Jeanne is involved in storywriting and worldbuilding and also helps organise a student TTRPG meetup almost every month. Knitting is also part of their repertoire. Jeanne has a great love for listening to others talk about their passions.
Ju (they)
Has been with frients since autumn 2025. Ju has a wide range of interests, particularly in the arts and sports, and is studying music and movement-oriented social work, which is a perfect fit. They love learning new things.
Hestia (she/they/fae)
Joined frients in 2025. Hestia loves music, video games and films and enjoys talking about them. Her favourite game is Terraria and her favourite film is Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. She usually spends her time cooking, playing games or talking to people. Fae is studying to become a teacher of English and social studies, so she is also very close to working with children and young people. They love getting to know new people and their interests.
